Hi

I am relatively new to the quality management job. I have been struggling with grasping the development of risk assessments. I have been researching it and whilst there is a lot about risk assessments theres none aimed on BRC standards.

Can anyone give me some ideas/ tips/ suggestions on the best way to do them.

Thank-you

Hi Amanda and welcome,

If you can spare an hour I'd recommend having a watch of the following IFSQN webinar on Risk Assessment under BRC. It's a few years ago now and prior to issue 8 but should help especially if you're newish to quality and RA

I posted an example Risk Assessment Form in February:

The form isn't all of the Risk Assessment; one has to attach supporting research, scholarly papers and so forth.

I think it really depends on what you are trying to assess.

Is it a supplier, a material, a process?

Assuming you are new to haccp, that would be my first priority to absorb. Will include risk assessment.

Kind Regards,
