Factors Controlling Shelf Life:
 
Water vapor transfer 
Oxygen transfer
Gas and odor transfer
Light transmission
Package dimensions
Package/product interaction
Environment to which the product will be exposed 
during distribution and storage (extrinsic factors such as temperature, RH, total pressure and partial pressure
of different gases, and mechanical stresses)

Do you have guideline or refrence about the requirement?

Food Type Refrigerator (40 °F or below) Freezer (0 °F or below)
Chicken or turkey, whole 1 to 2 days 1 year
Chicken or turkey, pieces 1 to 2 days 9 months

Hold the phone................there is a lot more you need to know that WILL drastically affect shelf on poultry
age (at slaughter)
chilling method
moisture retention
freezing method
packaging type
Poultry is my wheelhouse...........more than happy to help, but need more information
