our metal detector is transferred to a separate facility until their purchased MD arrives. our WIP (work in process) products shall be transferred and shall be converted to finished goods in that seprate facility.
this shall run for about 2-3 months (or maybe more).
do we have to update our HACCP plan, CCP determination with the interim process that is going on?
thanks ahead!
Yes, IMO - your HACCP plan should reflect what is physically happening on site, so if your process changes then your HACCP should be reviewed to ensure it matches it.
If your other facility is undertaking processing to do what was previously done on your site then you can perhaps structure things to consider this as part of the assessment of the overall process - given that it is under the control of the same company and is being effectively considered as part of an overall process, one could question whether it is really that different to doing two parts of the process in separate buildings on the same site, but again this would still be a change to what you're actually physically doing at a production/process level in terms of your facility, so I personally feel that this definitely should be reflected in a reviewed HACCP system.
