Hi everyone

Can anyone help me with or point me in the right direction for the following question:

Auditing is one of the primary ways in which confidence in the quality of a product or service may be ascertained. Discuss in detail the role of the audit and distinguish between the various types of audit and their significance.

I am not sure if this question is referring to auditing in the respect of ISO or not, so any help or suggestions for the various types of audits, will be very much appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Hi Carla,

Audit is not something exclusive to ISO. It existed long before ISO came into being. However, the ISO approach to audit is certaintly more structured and better defined.

Since you are going to discuss about audit in the context of Quality whether in product or service, I think the ISO practice is most appropriate.

Regards.
