Our ISO Auditor asked what regulatory or statutory requirements govern our facility?

We make boxes- mostly secondary packaging, though we have capability (and sqf certification) to make primary packaging for food producers. The Food Safety Modernization Act has nothing about packaging... so, what do I tell the ISO Auditor?

With primary food packaging - you need to show that they are approved for food use. For food contact packaging - I require our suppliers to provide us a FFDCA/food grade statement or USDA food grade statement.

You could also use the USDA version 9 CFR 317.24

As kfromNE stated, it would be the FFDCA. It's hard to find paperboard, ink, coating and / or glue manufacturers that are actually FDA registered so you need to require a letter of guarantee that all raw materials comply with the FFDCA is about all you can do. He might have been asking to determine if YOU actually knew what regulatory bodies impact your program.
