Hi everyone, I'm currently planning the annual mock crisis (SQF) for a bakery and looking for a scenario as we used fire and power outages already. Would be "IT Sabotage" or a "major equipment break down" count as a mock crisis? I still got "earthquake" as a mock crisis in the back of my hand, if I can't use one of the above mentioned. Other than that.... as part of the business disruption response would be "disruption in the supply chain" a crisis what we need to consider?

I have a list of possible mock crisis that the consultant they hired prior to hiring me put together. I've never used these because the decision was made not to continue pursuing SQF at our facilities but here goes:
- Fire or Site evac
- Utility supply failure
- IT systems failure (this should answer your sabotage question)
- Water supply contamination
- Breaches of security
- Distribution failure
- Bomb threat (or similar)
- Bioterrorist attack
- Extortion or sabotage
You could probably add active shooter or shooter threat incident (I've actually had to deal with one of these).
You could use major equipment breakdown if it reaches the 'crisis' level.

Hello. Working in a bakery as well, we have done a major breakdown as one of our mock crisis. We picked a piece of equipment that lead time for parts and repair time would span several days. Being a fresh baked goods facility, where product that is produced this morning is on a store shelf tomorrow morning, multiple days of no production would be a crisis situation.
In 2021, we used high demand with a shortage in staffing as our crisis. It is a very real scenario we are currently living in - but it got everyone thinking about how to manage safety, food safety, quality and productivity prior to us being in a pinch.
In previous years, we did hostage situation, fire, and hurricane.

Would a gas leak be covered under "site evac" with fire?
