Is anyone else getting the virus W32/Netsky.q.dam? It comes as an email attachment. My anti virus software detects it and I simply delete the email without any harm. :diespam:
The thing is I'm getting dozens a day and it's driving me nuts!

Regards,
Simon

Simon,

Computer Viruses - I get them everyday. You just have to live with this problem.

What is most concerning will be of course New Viruses which we need to be aware of as soon as they are in the media - unless you are already on the hit list, too bad. Apart from that, a firewall is really a must these days against viruses like "Sasser Virus" that attacks the operating system instead of files.

There is an effective free ware for firewall and those who want it can get it at www.zonealarm.com but unless you are looking for more features, you will need to buy one. (By the way, my FREE zonealarm firewall saved my PC from the recent Sasser attack)

Try this link:

http://securityrespo...moval.tool.html

It's a free W32.Netsky@mm removal tool. Once you get cleaned up I strongly advise you protect yourself with some antivirus and firewall software. Prevention is better than cure!

Hope this helps you.

Simon

Hi 4ran,

Please do not post links to .exe files on the forum. :D I have edited your earlier post and removed the link.

I hope you get fixed up.

Simon

Well the only thing I can suggest 4ran is that you try a specialist forum such as this:

Good luck and come visit us again soon.
