hi all, 

 

Is it mandatory to have emergency procedure  testing annually?

Greetings Joanne,

 

Although it is recommended, no it is not mandatory. I have seen many companies setting it bi-annually in their programming and make a mention in their Management Review of the reasons (usually refering to the possibility of the occurance and that the final actions are the same, meaning after ensuring it is safe to resume operations you also check the safety of your products).

A step further would be backing it up with a risk assessment from which the intervals can be determined.
