Hello Colleagues,

My company is looking for a low cost solution to 24-hour temperature monitoring.  We do store cultures requiring ultra low temperature storage around -50*C.  Any good options available?

We use a company called ThermoWorks. We do overnight and weekend batches and they have continuous recorders. If you speak to customer service about your specific needs they will direct you to the right product.

Hi sqflady,

I agree thermoworks makes dependable thermometers. Below are two models that may suit your needs, the lower limit of their operating range is -50C. They do have another model that goes down to -80C, but it's more than $300....

Look on Amazon for wireless data logger. We had issues with a cooler on new plant startup and the plant manager found a temperature and humidity data logger that’s wireless. It has worked great since install and can send emails and/or texts if temperature is outside the limits.

Contact Parsyl and advise of your needs, they probably have a solution for you as they are involved in chilled, frozen and pharma.

Hi Jeffrey,

Wondering if you have used Parsyl personally and how you fulfilled the calibration requirements?  It doesn't appear that they offer recalibration.
