Hello,

I was discussing SQF stuff with an auditor I happened to meet at a bar. Being boring food safety folks she mentioned she has this document for required risk assessments.

Do you all have all of the risk assessments in the doc? Vents and Ducts is one I definitely do not have. Just curious of other's opinions.

Thanks!

We have most of these but some are just a single paragraph in an official looking table - the auditor seem to focus mainly on the work place allergen risk assessment

If I am understanding correctly, the ducting is a risk  if it is running over product / product contact areas specifically.  If not - I think a statement is sufficient that you note it was evaluated and deemed not a risk.

We do have a risk assessment for each one.  A few are very simple but available.

Hi wbourg,

The SQF Food Safety Code does switch a lot between Risk Assessment, Risk Analysis, Hazard Analysis, Risk-Based, Based on Risk, Assess, Assessment and Risk Level.

The ones I believe that you missed are:

2.7.2.4 The food fraud vulnerability assessment

2.8.1.1 i. A risk analysis of those raw materials, ingredients, and processing aids, including food grade lubricants, that contain food allergens

11.2.4.3 Pest activity risks shall be analyzed and recorded. Inspections for pest activity shall be conducted …

Attached is a summary of the where Risk Assessment/Risk Analysis/Risk-Based/Based on Risk/Assess/Assessment/Risk Level/Hazard Analysis is in a requirement of the SQF Food Safety Code (for Food Manufacturers)

Attached File  SQF Food Safety Code for Food Manufacturers Issue 9 Risk.pdf   55.98KB   262 downloads

Kind regards,

Tony
