BCAS102 vs BC102-1 compressed air guideline - Is BCAS 102 no longer applied? BCAS102-1 seems to have the same limits for both direct and indirect contact which was not the case with BCAS102 where the limits were different. Indirect contact limit of BCAS102 is now assigned to Non-direct contact in BCAS102-1 making it more stringent. Can we still follow BCAS102 or its now archived and the recommendation is to move with 102-1.

Hi vyasssqf,
Curiously neither of the BCAS Standards mentioned seem to be dated however 102-1 presumably (totally) supercedes 102.
I also note that BRC is no longer mentioned in Best Practice Guide 102-1.
I think you may have slightly misread 102-1 although yr basic conclusion seems correct, ie increased stringency. These ISO references are given -
102 - Direct Food/Beverage (F/B) contact - 2:2:1
102 - Indirect F/B contact - 2:4:2
102-1 - Direct F/B contact - 1:2:1
102-1 - Indirect F/B contact - 1:2:1
102-1 - Non-Food contact - 2:4:2
