Looking to become a member of a best practice organization but there are so many to choose from! Looking for recommendations! Would like to eventually volunteer and be involved with creating standards, guides, or other content.

Are you a member of e.g. a trade association for your specific product area/type?
And/or are you currently working from any best-practice guidelines or standards?

Those would be the first two places I'd probably look at for this type of thing - dependent on scale and structure there may be e.g. a technical committee or similar that issues guidelines, interpretation etc. and also provides industry representation to regulators. IMEX this is a great way to get more involved in this type of thing.

I used to work in the dairy and bakery industries but have been at a consulting firm for some time now. We design and construct food manufacturing facilities for any product, including the new emerging trend products like alternative proteins, vertical farming, cannabis edibles. 

 

Don't really want to do 3A SSI or anything in dairy because i feel that they are so well established with the PMO. 

 

Just curious which orgs everyone is a part of and enjoying their memberships with so I can narrow down some options  :)
