SQF certified facility who has an approved supplier program in place with both suppliers and brokers. I am needing some clarification and I cannot find anything in the code in regards to my question. We have a number of brokers who purchase ingredients for us whether outside of the US or in the US. Do I need to have the manufacturing site (who the broker gets the ingredients from) approved in my program and get their third-party certs, food safety programs, etc. or do I just need the broker to be approved and write in my program that the broker is responsible for maintaining food safety documentation for the ingredient supplier that they purchase from?
