Hi Alutka_120,

Typical contracted services include:

Pest control

Laundry services

Contracted cleaning

Contracted servicing and maintenance of equipment

Transport and distribution

Off-site storage of ingredients or packaging (other than at the supplier’s facilities) prior to

delivery to the site

Off-site packing of products

Laboratory testing

Catering services

Waste management

Impact on the final product is clearly more likely when the service provider is carrying out a step that could potentially affect the safety or quality of the finished product and deemed a high-risk service.

Examples of high-services could be:

Contracted cleaning of food contact surfaces/areas

Contracted servicing and maintenance of critical equipment

Off-site packing of products

Laundry of protective clothing worn in high-risk/high-care areas

Kind regards,

Tony

Hello,

Taking into account what the IFS says

"4.4.3* The purchasing services, which have, based on risks, an impact on food safety and product quality, shall be evaluated to ensure they comply with defined requirements.  This shall take into account, at a minimum:

• the service requirements • the supplier’s status (according to its assessment)

• the impact of the service on the finished products."

How can I demonstrate (based on the risks) that these services have an impact on the product and should be evaluated with a different regularity. Risk matrix?
