Good Day Food Safety Team

Please advise on this finding

GMP Program - Shoe disinfection or shoe covers for visitors and external contractors are not currently in place.

Control on external shoes needs to be applied in order to avoid any contaminants carried into production, packaging or warehouse premises.

Please advise if any one of you had the similar finding and any ideas on how to close out.

Issue of boots and shoe covers has been dismissed.  I am looking for alternative corrective actions that will be practical in our operation.

Hoping to get some good help as always.

Have a great day further

I think the fix would be to update your visitor/contractor policies to require the same controls on visitor/contractor footwear as your regular employees.

What practices have you been following?

Like jfrey suggests, the simplest route is probably to state that visitors are expected to follow the same sanitation or GMP practices as your personnel do when entering production areas.  That's what we do.
