Hi Everyone,

I have a question regarding the integration of management system policies. Is it possible to integrate policy statements across various systems, such as FSMS (BRCGS), EMS, OHSAS, and QMS, without fully merging the entire systems? Specifically, can we use a common policy statement that meets the requirements of all these standards, while keeping the systems themselves separate?

I would greatly appreciate any insights or advice on this.

Thank you in advance.

That's what I've done.

To keep things simple when making changes I keep an internal reference document for the policy statement that indicates which verbiage is required by which system. (It's the same document but is color coded with a key for what statements cover which system.

Otherwise years later, when you drop out of one of the systems you know what you can take out or not. It's also helpful when codes get updated and you want to check the policy statement is up to date with the new changes.

Hi NipunRRSL,

:welcome:

Welcome to the IFSQN forums.

Integration of policies is fine. I would combine FSMS & QMS but keep EMS and OHSAS separate.

Kind regards,

Tony
