What are the responsibilities of a brand owner who has everything contract manufactured? Complex supply chain, with 3 different upstream manufacturers that manufacture one step of a food product, and then a 4th company (a 3PL) which assembles and distributes?
My thought are:
Some sort of food policy and commitment
Raw Material Specs
Label Review
Recall Plan
Verification of each company in their supply chain's food safety plan, etc (all are SQF except the 3PL)
