I would suggest contacting the manufacturer/supplier of the compressed air equipment to provide a specification or statement that confirms that the equipment is designed and installed to provide compressed air at the point of use that meets ISO 8573 Class 2 requirements.
Also, why don’t you arrange Air Quality Testing with an organisation like Direct Air? (presumably you can find one more local than the UK). If you have arranged testing and can show an order, then this will at least demonstrate some corrective action and may be acceptable to the auditor.
