Hi. All

I have a question regarding maintenance records keeping that will comply with BRCGS .

We have currently implemented maintenance system that is fully paper based, that's means all records are kept on paper , however we consider to go paper less  and I'm wondering how  what will be the best way of electronic records keeping that will comply with BRCGS  ?

I hope you will give me some ideas.

Thanks in advance.

Do you mean for the maintenance department?

There is lots of maintenance software out there

MaintainX

Hippo

Fixx

etc

they all provide documented PMs (with instructions built in), as well as one offs

The only thing that should stay paper (IMHO) is emergency break downs and temporary repairs

Hi,

Yes, for maintenance department.

Is the records of maintenance checks being keep on Excel Spread sheets  will be accepted ?

I mean records of checks such as :

  • Toolbox
  • Emergency switches
  • Greasing records ,etc

I will still keep Planned/ Unplanned repairs paper based.

MaintainX is my recommendation.

Easy to use, you can drag/drop pics to it, set up different users with different kinds of access, etc.

We have had records in Excel until last year when we implemented the Rosmiman program. It's an excellent program for the Maintenance Department and we have had no problems complying with BRC
