Hi, need some advice if anyone has experience gluing consumer packaged food (boxes) for the freezer?

I am trying to see if they are specifications for the glue, I should be aware of.  Or if anyone has knowledge of specific issues with the glue not staying sealed once frozen.

Thanks!

If we're talking hot glue, the box usually breaks down first.

We were going to use hot glue, is there another type of glue that you know of?

I'm not a packaging technologist but having worked in sites where we've frozen product before, we needed to specify with the supplier that both the glue and card needed to be suitable for freezing.  If you don't have the expertise on site, I'd use the supplier knowledge and trial it to ensure it stands up to the process.

This is right here is solid advice.  I worked in frozen some years ago and we worked with various suppliers for labeling and securing packaging.  These suppliers generally know how to find the appropriate application for your process.
