Curious to hear from specifically any IQF Raspberry processors: Do you have a sanitizing/ wash step or not?

I ask this because I learned that some suppliers ( I am a recipient processor) do not wash raspberries, presumably to avoid adverse  quality attributes ( tends to glace, or break into crumbles due to the additional wash handling) .

I can't think of other IQF fruit as being as sensitive and therefore wouldn't be able to wash (aside from peeled fruits which can be washed whole before peeling/ slicing etc, liek banana, kiwi, mango and so on)

interested to hear if this is your process or not, for raspberries.

thx

I've not worked directly with raspberries but are these being sold to other businesses only for cooking or being sold directly to consumers? If the latter I can't see how they can't have a washing step as the consumer is likely to use without cooking. Most frozen fruits are sold as ready to eat.
