Make the SQF Standards Code book you daily read and bedside table book.

Hi IzahelCamps,

As Glenn has said, learn the relevant SQF Food Safety Codes off by heart.

There are also the SQF Guidance Documents and Tip Sheets that you might find useful.

You can find them here: https://www.sqfi.com...the-code/topics

Kind regards,

Tony

It sticks in the back of my head, that the company must not want to really invest in a Food Safety program if they aren't willing to pay for the education?

YES Studying the code is vital but that's why we have training courses, so someone can learn the important foundational stuff first. It may be worth it to pay for training on your own.

Best wishes!

I studied the heck out of mod 12 (we are storage and distribution), then compared it to modules 7 and 11 (what the test covered).  I passed with only 1 or 2 wrong after 6 months of studying when I had a moment, but I wish I had fought harder to be able to take a class.  It was all online so I didn't think it'd be super extra helpful, but if I could have found an in person class I would have fought harder to be able to go.  I hate online classes because you can't ask questions or ask for clarification.

Which exam are you taking?

SQF's practitioner test isn't too bad once you've read through the requirements a bunch of times.  You've got this!
