Dear Atila,

It may be that there are not too many IFS auditors on this forum (??) or that yr enquiry needs to be further detailed (if possible) to get some response.

I have no direct experience of IFS (and I didn't notice any direct posts relating to yr query within the forum IFS standard threads) so cannot personally offer much help however some Googling gave this site which claims to offer free information on their courses for the examination requirements to be an IFS auditor at the cost of giving them yr email address –

http://www.eurofins....vices/audits/en

I also found a site which seemed to give rather more information regarding the IFS standard's expectations than the designated IFS Portal site, for example, this item was rather unusual to me –

“If critical products, for example baby food, are manufactured, the supply of production water is a CCP. Otherwise, regular studies of the utilized water have been sufficient to date. However, online tests will be introduced. --> Analyzers.”

The link is –
http://www.hyfoma.co...-standards/ifs/
(there are plenty of other random queries of this type within this forum's IFS section of course, maybe including this site!)

Hope these comments are of some interest –

Rgds / Charles.C

Kind Regards,

Charles.C

Dear Atila

Time ago I started looking for information about the IFS exam as I would like to do it, just waiting a good opportunity.

Besides being aware that is a very hard exam to pass, I was told that you must know " word by word " the IFS standard and also the european legislation, at least.
Regarding the oral exam I can not tell anything.

Any more information you want to share with me will be grateful

Sincerely
Esther

Dear ck=fu,

Welcome to the forum :welcome:

In fact, the previous link to eurofin claimed to offer "free" electronic information although I never tested it. Probably far less detailed than yr own knowledge.

Actually, I think the subject of the IFS oral examination came up in another thread also, do you hv any idea regarding it's difficulty ?

Dear all,

The IFS exam is indeed very hard.

The written examination contains 3 sections.
Section 1 about Food technology, microbiology and legislation, section 2 about the IFS standard (and yes, indeed, you have to know all the clauses) and section 3 are some cases.

You can only conduct the oral exam if the result of the written exam, is at least 60% and none of the section is less than 50%. During the oral exam you get a case on paper and then get 20 minutes to audit the examinators. They are pretending to be the company of the case. After that you get a few minutes to decide which clause get which result and if you found any non-conformities. After that you have to explain your decisions and motivate them.

The exam is certainly no easy. I do not know any one who did the exam right first time.

All the people here, who are attempting: Good Luck!

Kind Regards,

Madam A. D-tor

Dears,
Yes,As eurofins colleague told me,its really tough. But I believe anybody if you input enough energy and time to the standard, relervant legislation and of course you have the audit experience, you will pass the exam!
I heard one of my friend who told me ,there're 20 paticipants who attend the examination helded in Shanghai,China last year, and when the oral examination only 5 of them left, these 5 paticipants were asked to go to Hongkong,China to take part in the oral examination. Finally, only 2 of them succeeded acheiving the IFS auditor certification.
I am in Dalian,Eurofins.I know there would be an IFS examination in April in shanghai.Does anyone will attend this session exam together?
