Quality / Health & Safety Engineer

Our client is a leading manufacturer of high quality plastic packaging, supplying the personal care, cosmetic pharmaceutical, stationery, electronics and beverage industries.

The Role:-
- Auditing of the Quality systems
- Management of Plant Health & Safety
- Organise training programmes on quality and health & safety for employees
- Oversee ISO 9000 audits and ensure compliance
- Implement processes and systems for effective factory quality control
- Liaise with customers and suppliers on quality concerns
- Support the Operations Manager during the implementation of BRC / IOP standards
- Ensure regular and appropriate risk assessments are carried out
- Implementation of statistical methods to ensure improvements are made

The Person:
- Background in a high volume multi-product manufacturing company
- Supplying a dynamic customer base
- Capability of setting up effective quality control processes
- Knowledge of ISO 9000 and experience of ensuring compliance
- Health & safety legislation
- Working with customers and suppliers
