Whenever I open a magazine or newspaper it's the same old rigmarole. A load of superfluous glossy pap spills onto the floor, I pick it up and put it in the bin. To be fair it might not be pap, but I wouldn't know as I refuse to read anything that makes me bend over. No matter how many times I go through the process I always forget.

Magazine ‘inserts' as advertising medium have been going yonks and they are (as far as I can see) more prevalent than ever - so they must be effective.

Quality World was delivered today…

One of my subscription mags is for a civil service based club. (long story)

This has the most pap ever.

One of the correspondents actually complained, and the answer was (in essence) 'these unsolicited advertising medium help subsidise the publishing costs, so get used to it buster'

Actually never. Some are of good quality card and have made good scrapers during de-icing the car.

I can recommend the BSi ones they're really thick and glossy.

A friend of mine used to save all his junk mail and free inserts.
Once a month he would select one of the companies responsible and post them all off to them with an accompanying letter stating "Congratulations, you are this months lucky recipient of my junk mail for the past month".

I always thought that it was more trouble than it was worth saving all of them up, but gave it a go once and I must admit that the feeling of satisfaction it gave me made it all worth it.

Now I would say that email spam and internet pop ups are more annoying.

I can't remember where I heard it (maybe on these forums), but someone once said they send every bit of junk mail back unopened marked 'return to sender'. Personally I like the 'big dump' idea best.

Wouldn't it be great to see the skip wagon pull into the ‘Cheap Loans 'R' Us' car park and tip it's load…over the MD's car.
