Dear CharlesC
thanks for your reply. You have added the fediol sheet for feed. I will add it for food. There is no
CCP, but several PrPs.
But nevertheless, we are buying RBD palm oil (refind bleached and desodorized)which is not totally covered by the fediol scheme. I think all of the huge european oil suppliers for food will follow fediol association proposals in general. I wonder that all of my recent supplliers (gobal players) has introduced
CCPs, but the new candidate not. For me it is not clear whether I should except a process without any
CCP.
e.g. foreign body - as typical for this industry the company has a GAF-filter before filling the vessel (in that case it is a question of definition, whether the foreign bodies are controlled here or in several stages before with several filters)
e.g. temperature in desodorization - removal of contaminants -> CCP is in all other case a minimum temperature (the new candidate argues that in the case of to low temperature taste and ffa will be unacceptable for their quality criteria).
I couldn't find in literature no indication for a correlation of ffa and contaminants.
I would be interested to learn more about risk assessment of RBB palm manufacturing in non-EC countries, especially with respect to
CCPs.
