Dear all
I have a question about 9.2 clause of Fssc.
In 9.2 clause we can choose Audit onsite or thirst paries for approved the supplyer, in't it?.
We have both audit onsite and report of thirst parties.

Thank you.

Hi Thanhtien,

That is not absolutely defined but implied in ISO/TS 22002-1 Prerequisite programmes on food safety — Part 1: Food manufacturing by the examples given:

9.2 Selection and management of suppliers
There shall be a defined process for the selection, approval and monitoring of suppliers. The process used shall be justified by hazard assessment, including the potential risk to the final product, and shall include:
a) assessment of the supplier’s ability to meet quality and food safety expectations, requirements and specifications;
b) description of how suppliers are assessed;
NOTE Examples of a description of how suppliers are assessed include:
1) audit of the supplying site prior to accepting materials for production;
2) appropriate third party certification.

If the material and supplier are low risk then a questionnaire and product acceptance protocol may be sufficient providing that you justify your assessment.

Kind regards,

Tony

Hi Thanhtien,

If you choose to audit that is fine, you don't need a 3rd party certification as well but you will need to demonstrate the competence of your auditor.

Kind regards,

Tony

Hi Thanhtien,

Your auditor should be knowledgeable in relevant product related HACCP requirements, Good Agricultural/Hygienic Practices and be able to demonstrate auditing skills.

You can demonstrate the competence of your auditor based on knowledge, experience and/or training.

Kind regards,

Tony

Thank.
We must audit onsite at farmer about food safety and control hazard. We don't require the farmer have 3rd party report.
I want clearly about that. Because the CB audited my company and they required we must made auditing onsite and 3rd party report
