FDA has scheduled a public hearing on allergen advisory labeling on September 16, 2008. Formal notice of the Hearing published in the Federal Register on August 8, 2008.

The meeting is much needed ! To add to the confusion - see the attached memo on "May Contain" statements related to poultry in Canada....

Thanks for the update Cathy. I've made it so that the topics in the Food Safety News forum do not show in the "active topic list" - however if anyone makes a comment on a news item I move it into the "Food Safety Discussion" forum.
