From the GLOBALGAP website:

GLOBALGAP operates a database of all certified producers worldwide. A key element of integrity within the GLOBALGAP standard is the principle of assigning a unique identity to these producers and recording all relevant product and certification information. Market participants profit from an instant validation of their data: whether as sellers to prove their GLOBALGAP compliance, or as buyers to comply with their sourcing policy.

The validity check is public and available online by entering the GLOBALGAP registration number directly into the database.

You can search for valid certificates HERE as long as you know the certificate number.

Hope this helps.

Regards,
Simon
