Our facility has to develop a HACCP plan for loose leaf tea packaging. We receive pre-blended loose leaf tea in super sacks and storage of the sacks are in a climate controlled environment. All tea we pack are intended to be open brewed using filters similar to coffee brewing filters or brewed in filter packs. Where can I find anything that could help us develop a HACCP plan specifically for our product?

Dear coffeeedrinkr,

Welcome to the forum ! :welcome:

Not sure I fully understand yr process. "super" means ?? A large packing unit perhaps ?

Seems yr process is basically a repacking into smaller units, correct ??

Some info here -

http://www.etc-onlin..._2005_final.pdf

and http://www.talawakel...s.com/HACCP.htm

You can see the HACCP process starts from source and proceeds to the final packed product. If this does not match yr requirements, please revert with more details.

Kind Regards,

We are repacking into smaller units. We receive our pre-blended tea in 1000 pound sacks, hence our term "super sacks".
Thank you for your welcome, I appreciate that.
