Hi Saferpakers,

please look at this picture:

Carton sizing

Is it correct that carton dimensions are always expressed in order of length, width and depth (or height)

and length is the bigger of the two dimensions ? :uhm:

Is there any international standard ? :dunno:

I would like to standardize in my company. TIA. Franco

I'm sure at school we were told that it was width, then length then height. Isn't it something like x,y,z. where x is across, y is up and z is the three dimensional bit, or did I just imagine that.

Maths was never my strong point!!

Neither was mine. The question is: is it standardized all over the world ?

At last the definitive answer to one of the great unanswered questions of our time:

Boxes are measured: Length X Breadth X Height.

I have to say it's been worrying me for some time.

Thanks Franco.

I know Simon  I think it's trivial. Just thought it could help us solving problems and maybe save some money. Lean thinking ? Who knows ?
