Dear Riz,

I am intrigued as to how you propose to compare / score for this desirable position of "Mr/Ms Clean of June 2010" ??

well guys i m already finished with the name that was in my mind Posted Image

dear charles and jean we have created an internal policy for this and got it approved from top management as the award includes cash incentive as well for the staff along with recognition certificate.

all the departments/sections will send the nominations using the nomination form along with their own comments for nominating that employee...all the nominees will come to me and then using the assessment scale that we created to evaluate them, will be observed for the whole month for all the practices such as:
  • Personal Hygiene
  • Receiving & Storage
  • Handling of Foods
  • Handling of equipment
  • Process hazard controls
  • HACCP knowledge
simply saying criteria includes all GHP for which they will be assessed that employee always apply the practice/partially applies/never applies a particular practice.

regards.

Riz

There are well argued reasons for and against such incentive schemes; personally I am for them provided the rules are clear and the operation of the system is even handed. I'm sure it will help raise awareness and improve performance.

Best of luck.

P.S. Let us know how it goes.

hi,

i am sorry but i dont like "employee of the month " application. Ok its good if it includes hygiene performance, productivity. You choose just one staff but how about the others?

Didn't they perform like the employee of the month? In this way you award one and another staff can think that he is not as good as "employee of the month" even he can huff.

So there should be incentive a way for whole staff.

Just an idea :)

Hi Riz

Your idea sounds good in principle but the assessment system does seem like a lot of work that could use up time that may be put to better use?

Tony
