Can anyone have any idea how to write glass breakage policy..?? if yes, then please share.

Well,

You have to write glass policy which includes glass breakageand control. Actually glass policy includes rules regarding the possibility andcontrol of glass breakage and incident management procedure after breakage ofany glass inside the manufacturing facility.

You must have to write some points like:-




Glass policy



1. 1) All the glasses used in production facility willbe toughen glass (non-brittle)

2. 2) All brittle plastic and glass must be covered bynon brittle plastic or bopp films

3. 3) All damaged glass shall be repaired immediately.If the same is not possible make temporary arrangement and schedule the timefor replace that

4. 4) If any glass brakage come stop the productionline immediately and cleare all glass parts and then take approval of seniorperson

5. 5) All glass should be listed

6. 6) Etc

7. 7) Etc

8. 8) Etc

Hi.

Glass policy includes guidelines handling and storage of raw materials or other products in glass container.

It could indicate that upon receiving of items in glass containers, it is stored in the lowest possible shelf to prevent breakage. Upon use inside food production, products in glass containers are decanted to a suitable plastic containers to again prevent breakage.

Glass policy can also include the procedures to follow in case there is glass shattered in the food production area. for example:
1. Glass breakage occurs
2. Isolate area.
3. Report to Supervisor
4. Report to QA for assessment of affected food products. Report to Occupational Health & Safety for any injured person.
5. Report to Finance for assessment of value.
6. Clean the area.
7. Record in a logbook for monitoring and reference.

1. Techreport 39 (which looks v.int. seems to hv got lost at the end of upload, maybe? (or perhaps my ffox browser)

2. IMEX, it is not unusual to size-define a specific no-go area around a glass breakage incident

3. Seemed to me that, based on yr text, you hv no labs using glass materials whose occupants can also enter a "production" area.??

I'll take the last first (frozen sweet and savoury pies ready to bake)
Right on the button all the lab work is off site except some minor testing
We kind of play size of area as it happens as a fluorescent tube even if protected, landing the wrong way can project shards of material quite a distance
I will try to forward the tech report again on my return to work.

Sounds like the voice of experience although IMEX, the protection is more likely to fall than the tube.

Just a quick comment because I couldn't not. On opening the documents I was amazed to see how similar they were to my Product Management System have just realised that it's because I originally wrote the Quality system for the company you work for. You can't imagine how proud I am that my work still lives on in one form or another.

Quick suggestion though, take the company name off the file front document
