Hi Min,

I am not sure about packaging but dipping in my natural antimicrobial, Herbal-Active will extend the shelf life of fruits and vegetables by killing food spoilage organisms. This may be a necessary step before packaging in selectively permeable plastic wrap.

Cheers,
Vic

I do not know if it is a natural antimicrobial but a spanish company called Derprosa has launched what they describe as "polypropylene film (for packing food such as fresh vegetables, prepared salads or cut greens) which 99.9% reduces bacteria proliferation on its surface"

Also take a look at what Leatherhead Food Research has to say because they have been doing research work on natural anti-micrtobials.
