Has anyone experience of using IsoPropanol impregnated wipes to sanitize work areas and packing tables in a food packaging environment. Frequency would be every couple of hours during order change. Looking to find out if there are any food safety or health and safety concerns or general comments and ideas?
Thanks,
Simon

Thanks a lot for the questions RMAV. I can answer some positively and others I will address with the supplier. We have been using Isoproponal impregnated wipes for a long time (10 years) for this purpose and it is validated by micro swabbing during quarterly audits. It is just a different supplier and the product strength is different, so I wanted to think about it a bit more this time.-Does your intended use align with the product's intended use of the manufacturer?
-Is it regulated as a sanitizer? Is it tested as a sanitizer with the appropriate label claims?
-Are the instructions for use feasible in your environment?
-Is there an implementation, validation, and verification plan?
-Do you intend to clean with the wipes in addition to sanitize? If so, what is the nature of the soils and will it require an 'extra' step (previous question)?
Just a few thoughts...and please note these questions are framed within the understanding of US FDA and EPA language and may not directly correlate to British/EU regulatory terms.
