I've only had food poisoning the once when on holiday in Tenerife with my buddies. As you can imagine we were out on the tiles every night until the sun came up; a few times on the stagger home I had the munchies and purchased a chicken and mayo sandwich and I think one of those got me. For a few days I was violently ill and couldn’t eat or drink a morsel without it passing directly through; I also had numbness in my legs, but not sure if that was connected. I returned home around 20lbs lighter and rather fragile.
The other incident was when I was at college - I used to go to the fish and chip shop for lunch from time to time. One day I was chomping away and crunched into a piece of glass which broke my back tooth in half. I think I went back to complain but they denied all knowledge. I was very young and naïve and let it go, but these day’s they’d be in serious trouble.
I suppose two incidents in 46 years isn’t bad and they were both a long time ago.
Regards,
Simon
