How to decide whether the food industry should implement HACCP or ISO 22000 provided the choice is left to the consultant? Please help me to decide the criteria that should be taken into consideration.

Dear pranav,

I will expand my previous post.

I assume the only implementation options are either (a) HACCP or (b) ISO22000.

I assume by “HACCP” you mean traditional HACCP, eg Codex or NACMCF based.

Criterion 1

(1) Is the requirement for a system containing FS only >>> (a)
(2) Is the requirement for a system containing FS w/wo MS >>> (a) or (b)
(3) Is the requirement for a system containing FS + MS >>> (b)
(4) Is the requirement for a system containing MS only >>> neither
(5) Is the requirement for a system containing MS w/wo FS >>> (b)

Pls inform if (2). Otherwise a conclusion is reached.

Rgds / Charles.C

Kind Regards,

Charles.C
