Hi KenLim,
Safefood 360 and SAP are quite different. SAP is an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution which covers functions such as Production Planning, Purchasing, Finance, Bill of Materials, Sales Order Processing and Human Resource Management. It is an end-to-end software platform mainly targeted at large enterprises with the means to invest in a single IT platform for their whole business.
Safefood 360 is a Food Safety Management software platform geared specifically for food businesses seeking to comply with regulatory (e.g. FSMA) and GFSI (e.g. FSSC 22000) requirements. It has 30+ modules covering all the elements required for a robust and best-practice food safety management system. It fills a gap that SAP, Oracle and other ERP vendors do not provide as it is not their core competency nor is the market opportunity large enough for them. So while your own SAP installation may include a module for Maintenance and may include a generic ‘Quality Management’ module you can be certain that the workflows etc have not been designed by food safety specialists to ensure that you are meeting the intricate requirements of GFSI.
So an important point is that Safefood 360 does not compete with SAP, they can both sit quite happily side by side. Additionally Safefood 360 is perfect for the smaller food business as well as much larger food businesses with multiple sites.
We have a well-defined process on how you can transform your existing paper based food safety system over to Safefood 360. Feel free to email us at team@safefood360.com if you want to learn more.
Thanks,
Philip
