Does anyone know if the FDA requires a food production facility to be third party audited?

We are a USDA inspected facility that falls into a dual jurisdiction with FDA. However we have never seen an FDA inspector. To my knowledge of FDA, they do not "require" anything 3rd party.

I don't think so :hypocrite: ,  Just make sure you complete the U.S. FDA Bioterrorism Act Food Facility Registration

Third party audits are usually required by your costumers.
