The IFSQN Member of the Month (MOTM) program commenced June 2014.

Rules updated for MOTM selection July 17, 2015.

Each month an IFSQN member will be selected for the prestigious award of Member of the Month (MOTM) by the forums management based on a number of criteria including:

- Presence on the forums

- Quality of contributions such as posts and files shared

- Helpful attitude and contributing to the wellbeing and growth of the IFSQN

MOTM’s will be announced on the website, in newsletters and listed in the MOTM Archive.

There is no charge for entry and no application forms to fill in; in fact you do not have to enter at all…just hang around and be helpful.

As well as the undoubted kudos the MOTM will receive a unique mug and a lifetime membership to the IFSQN.

The MOTM mug and lifetime membership is kindly sponsored by our friends at Safefood 360.

The Small print:

  • An individual member cannot win more than one MOTM per calendar year
  • No cash alternatives are offered - if for example you do not want the mug or already have a lifetime membership
  • Prizes may or may not change in the future or be withdrawn completely without notice

No changing your identity mid way through though!

Oh and no tactical voting like in the Eurovision song contest!

A lot of members use the "thanks" button, but not many use this poor little fella.

Therefore the race for May 2014 MOTM is very close...like very, very close.

Yes you can find the little green arrow on the right hand side of every post (except your own) and if you push it then then member gets 1 reputation point.

Simon,
Can you tell who is giving the Reputation Points also? Maybe award something for those who acknowledge the good remarks of others? <bats eyes>

attachicon.gifreputation.png

Therefore the race for May 2014 MOTM is very close...like very, very close.

I use the Thanks button all the time, because when I'm reading a post, I very often think "thanks, that guy". Then I click it.

Thanks for telling that guy his question is too broad so I don't have to

Thanks for posting basic 101 info so I don't feel obligated to

Thanks for letting me know about a cool new food safety tool or website

Thanks for saying something hilarious that put me in a good mood

Thanks for giving me an actual, solid answer on that, you seem right

Thanks for backing me up on that, I knew I wasn't that crazy

Thanks for following up on that thread, I'd been wondering about that

Thanks for answering that question about seafood, I don't know the answer, but this has a lot of math

Sometimes - thanks for posting all these links, but I'm still not clear on what you're sayin.

Thanks > a weird little up arrow.

I was actually wondering what the function of that was because I never, ever use it.  I guess I can just start click thanks *and* the up arrow now.  You people drive me like I'm a mule!  I'm gonna need a pillow to sit down because my bootie is gonna be raw form all the clicking I'm doing.

:off_topic:

I would need to spend 12 mins to rewatch it, but I believe this will have hilarious consequences, much like the machine that gives sneeches their stars.

I gave you thanks and a green arrow "reputation" and I will watch the video later.

To be honest like you I only ever used "thanks", but this whole MOTM plugin uses reputation, so that's the only what...it will mean two clicks instead of one...but well worth it.

lol
