Hello
I did a search for this but did not find anything.
We are getting ready for our second GMP Audit.
Yesterday a county health inspector showed up unannounced to investigate a complaint made by a former employee.
The former employee claimed we had rats near the outdoor dumpster and large bins of moldy bread and yeast in the facility.
The inspector observed:
There were bins of un-used dough in trash bags inside cardboard bins not causing a health risk.
No rats seen behind building/dumpster.
No further action needed.
I am unsure as to if this type of incident should be reported in our food safety plan or if the complaint/inspection should just be filed with the regular health inspection reports and it will be there if the auditor asks for them
If it should be included the food safety plan, should I record it with customer complaints? I do not think this is a NC and although it was not a customer complaint I am not sure exactly where else this would fit in.
Although a disgruntled employee is not a good thing, I think it is to our benefit we received a good report from the unannounced inspection.
Any suggestions??
Thank you
