Hi Nico

In all these cases they are still pet food and fall under Module 4: Pet Food Safety Fundamentals – Good Manufacturing Practices for Processing of Pet Food Products

Kind regards,

Tony

Hello everyone! :)

A pet food manufacturer SQF Code modules of interest to meet SQF requirements for SQF certification and standards are:

• Module 2

• Module 4

Am I correct?

Or should also Module 11 be included?

Thank you!

Applicable food sector categories (FSCs) for Module 11 are:
FSC8: Processing of manufactured meats and poultry
FSC9: Seafood processing (include 9A, 9B, 9C)
FSC10: Dairy processing
FSC11: Honey processing
FSC12: Egg processing
FSC13: Bakery and snack food processing

FSC16: Ice drink and beverage processing
FSC17: Confectionery manufacturing
FSC18: Preserved foods manufacture

Kind regards,

Thank you so much Tony.

But what if our pet products are among the Module 11 categories, for example:

FSC8: Processing of manufactured meats and poultry (some of the pet treats contain meat, other consist in plain meat)

• FSC18: Preserved foods manufacture (because they are all dry products, so should be considered preserved?)

• FSC14: Fruit and vegetable processing (because some of the pet treats contain vegetables, and other consist in vegetables)

Than in these cases should we also add Module 11 in your opinion?

Thank you again!
