Hi everyone,

Hope you all had a great weekend.

Question in regards to air deodorizers for restrooms.

I know with BRC, you shouldn't have a strong perfume smell on yourself. But what about the use in the restroom.

I wanted to get the metered spray, it will be placed in a high position. I would want to use the fresh linen scent.

This is to control odors from frequent use of restrooms, during our heavy season it is needed.

Thanks in advance.

You shouldn't have them for the same reason you do not use scented soaps or scented cleaners in the production area.  They have the potential to mask unsanitary conditions.

We have them in our locker rooms and have never had any problems with our inspectors. They are set on a very light spray and do not leave any noticeable smell on any of our employees after they use the facilities. If you do a through inspection regularly you should still find any unsanitary conditions that may exist even if the deodorizers put out a fragrance that may mask it.

Scratch the spray that falls on everything and point of sitting or urinal flush.

Im happy one person has not had an issue however in over 4,000 inspections, consults and trouble shooting scent sprayers are nightmares.
