Does anyone have an example of a Food Safety Policy Statement for a dairy manufacturing company?

Thks for yr attachment.

 

I liked the format but reliance on the word "Quality" always jars me a little despite its traditional popularity.

 

The words "Safety" and  "Regulatory" might hv usefully been inserted somewhere a bit nearer the beginning. (assuming Namibia has a "Regulatory" of course ).

Thanks for your response.

 

We do have a similar one as the one you attached which mentions the relevant Food safety and regulatory requirements that apply to us. But i got an audit finding that the food safety policy does not make reference to GFSI version 6.3 and does not mention heavy metals, aflatoxin, etc. I was actually looking for a way i can make these references without making the document a very looong one with too much info.

Hi Foibe,

 

Normally your policy would be a summary of the organisations commitment to supply safe food of the expected quality in compliance with legal requirements.

 

The details would be in supporting documents such as product specifications.

 

I do not see why an auditor would expect to see a reference to GFSI as their documents are guidance documents for food safety certification schemes.
