Dear all!
I need your help! I need to perform a Temperature distribution and a Heat penetration test on a water spray retort.
Do you have any report about TD & HP. I need to know how make this kind of report.
I need this documentation to export in USA; do you have any TD & HP study?
Thank you

Hi Matteo,
I presume this is related to obtaining US-appropriate (local) approval for a specific canning process ?
In USA afaik (not in USA myself) the approval is required to be carried out/verified by a "competent authority" based on evaluation of filled-in standard forms (and maybe basic procedures) which are downloadable from the FDA website. IIRC some examples of completed forms are also available.
I would anticipate you are going to need some expert technical assistance.
Kind Regards,
Charles.C

Thank you Charles,
Were I can find the standard form???
The Institute for Therma Process Specialists made a Protocol about the procedure, but I need an example of final report.

Here are the submission forms for a low acid canned foods filing and guidance on how to fill them out.
https://www.fda.gov/...F/ucm309376.htm
If you need a process authority to help prepare the forms and guide you through the process, I highly recommend contacting Covance (Covance.com), great customer service and very knowledgeable.

Hi Matt,
I suggest that the reference in 3F's post has some useful links in appendix of download.
The organization noted yr post 4 include a report template in their procedural document ? ie -
IFTPS guidelines.pdf 1.06MB
87 downloads
(see appendices)
These documents may also be of some peripheral interest -
AIOE, validating salmonella reduction, other pathogens in heat processed low moisture foods,2012.pdf 4.54MB
64 downloads
temperature and heat distribution protocol in agitating retorts.pdf 228.81KB
85 downloads
My guess is that the last line of my post 2 may be the easiest approach. just for an example -
Kind Regards,
