The European Food Safety Center is an initiative of people and institutions all over Europe that are interested in the safety of food and feed.
We want to combine the knowledge and experience of all participants of the food market to establish a common sense of the practical aspects of food safety.
We want to unite supervising authorities, scientists, producers and consultants from all countries of the EU at a round table. There, a compromise should be found between:
scientific demands
possibilities of surveillance
practical feasibility
This process shall be broadly applied to limit values, analytical methods and management systems (e.g. HACCP-systems and their assessment).
The product of these consultations will be a kind of a common technical standard that is freely available to everybody inside and outside of the EC.
The European Food Safety Center wants to disseminate these results by internet, seminars and conferences to all the people concerned with food and feed topics.
Who can contribute?
Everyone involved in the research, development, production, testing and regulation of food and feed is welcome to participate
