Good Afternoon folks!

Does the FDA have a database of approved items? like the CFIA Reference Listing of Accepted Construction Materials, Packaging ...

If a supplier provides a letter stating something is FDA compliant and safe to use for food handling, can I confirm that statement or do I take their word for it?

TIA

Sincerely,

The QA person that doesn't like the FDA website.

FDA afaik is not a monopoly.

Not sure if you are looking for accepted construction materials only, however FDA has info for GRAS ( generally regarded as safe) for food products.

https://www.fda.gov/...gLabeling/GRAS/

If you are looking for GRAS for use in food packaging, here is the link:

https://www.ecfr.gov....3.186&rgn=div5

Hope it helps.
