Hello

We don’t have a SOP. We have a supplier who comes in to complete the cleaning. This is in Canada. However what you could do is put salt through the silo. Let the salt go through the entire system, you would have to take it off through the screwfeed at the end. Once that is complete you could open the screwfeed to check for insects or foreign material and vacuum it out. Then once inspected and approved, flush the first product through the silo.

Shruti

Hi QC Man,

We use filtered compressed air for dry cleaning of Silos. Before that as #Bossladay said we will pass maltodextrin (base for our products) through the silos then air cleaing. This procedure is followed during change over from one flavour/colour to other.

Wet cleaning is done every fortnight using hot water. Find the attached SOP.

Thanks

Hi,

Do you have any recommendations for Silo room relative humidity and temperature, actually, we kept skimmed milk powder which was hygroscopic.

thanks
