Dear all,

 

We are planning to install:

 

Steril-Aire® Ultra Violet Germicidal Irradiation (UVGI) solutions, whic is suppose is used to kill the Corona or any Virus in less than a minute of exposure.

 

 

I would like to get more information if some body have install it in their company (Negative and positive).

Dear Dell,

Are you planning to install in your production line for disinfecting packing materials?? if so then its recommended, if you are planning to install as a walk way where people can walk through UV light to disinfect themselves from corona virus then it is not at all recommended as the UV light is very dangerous to human skin. 

 

I am putting both views as so many companies are inquiring about Use of UV light to disinfect their employees before entering the factory.

Curious to know.... did the company rep tell you that it kills CV?

How are you going to use the UV light? Contact time with UV light it important. Also clear path of exposure is important. The light can't disinfect what it can't see. Example, a ceiling light can't illuminate the floor under a desk because the desk blocks the light.

UV light as well as irradiation can be used on some foods. Irradiation is used in spice industry quite a bit. The regulations differ by country.

Dear dell,

 

you have not mentioned the area of application.- surface, water, food.

 

In general with repect to Corona

...sorry but a lot of nonsens is coming and offered for Corona&Food -> look to your CDCs and their Q&As.

UV-treatment for surfaces (packaging, belts, eggs or water) YES to reduce micros, but NO UV for people treatment as well as no spray tunnels (-> see Q&A Ecolab) and no injections of disinfectants......

Have respect for CV, but no panic for CV and food (-> see Q&A all CDCs)
