Hello everyone! I need your advise on FDA registration process for our new product range as "ready to eat frozen seafood meals". Our company is already registered with FDA for our raw and processed frozen sea food products. But this is new product category so do we need any SID filling for these meals or register them simply as new product range.

You should update registration to include RTE in your product categories. Additionally you can file a prior notice import here if you are not part of the Voluntary Qualified Importer Program.

You can start with Registrar Corp

Not my area of expertise, and it obviously is a fee based service, so proceed with discrimination.

SID filing is only needed for thermally processed products that fall under 21 CFR 113 (low acid canned foods) or 21 CFR 114 (acidified Foods). If you do not fall into one of these categories, then you only need to include your new product line on your facility registration- which must be renewed by December 31, 2020.
